Morning: Saigon – My Tho – Ben Tre (90 km)
We take you to My Tho from Ho Chi Minh city, passing by Phu My Hung – one the new urban areas in Ho Chi Minh city. When reaching My Tho (Tien Giang), you will have breakfast. After that, you will visit the city block in the entre of My Tho city – also called My Tho Dai Pho. The journey continues with the visit to Vinh Trang pagoda – where you can find wooden statue of the Buhhdist La Han.
Off the boats, you can admire the pleasant, green scenery of trees and vegetables along Tien river with four islets: Long (Dragon), Lan (Unicorn), Quy (Turtle), Phung (Pheonix.) Stopping in at Phung islet, you will learn more about the head of Dao Dua (Coconut Religion), listen to “đờn ca tài tử” – the traditional kind of music in the South of Vietnam, and enjoy the sweet taste of Ben Tre coconuts.
You will reach Thoi Son islet by ferryboat to visit an ancient house which is typical of the Southern architecture. Besides, you can visit some gardens, watch people make coconut candy, learn how the local people raise honey bees, and drink honey tea.
We will have some specialties of the South for lunch in a garden house, then come back to My Tho city by ferryboat.
Afternoon: My Tho – Saigon (70 km)
From the port, we will go to visit Dong Tam Snake Farm by car, stopping in at one of the gardens of pomelo, longan, durian, mango, …in Ba Dua, Kim Son, Vinh Kim. Here you can buy some fruit which have just been plucked.
You will have porridge before going home.
Arriving at Saigon, we say goodbye and see you again.
