Soc Trang – Ba Lieu – Ca Mau – Can Tho

Duration: 4 days 3 nights (traveling by car.)
Time of departure: Every Thursday and Saturday.


The first day: Saigon – Soc Trang – Bac Lieu (290 km)
Morning:
We take you to Soc Trang from Ho Chi Minh city, passing by Phu My Hung – one of the new urban areas in Ho Chi Minh city. We will continue to reach Long An, Tien Giang, Vinh Long, Can Tho, Hau Giang. Arriving at Soc Trang, we will visit Ma Toc pagoda (Bat pagoda) and Dat Set pagoda (Buu Son Tu) which are ancient pagodas of the Khmer people.
In Bac Lieu, you will visit the tomb of departed musician Cao Van Lau who composed Da Co Hoai Lang which is of the very famous, special traditional form of the South Vietnamese people - “cải lương” (the Vietnamese modern folk opera)
Afternoon:
After checking in, you will visit the Trach family‘s house with some old items and listen to many intriguing anecdotes about Bac Lieu Dude, including his famous burning money.
Evening:
You can take a stroll in the centre of Bac Lieu city, then stay the night in Bac Lieu.

The second day: Bac Lieu – Ca Mau (67 km)

Morning:
We depart for Ca Mau, stopping in at Ho Phong to visit Father Diep’s church. From Ca Mau port, we approach Dat Mui by express. When reaching Dat Mui, you can take some photos in the southernmost part of Vietnam's inland territory. About 80 meters to 100 meters of this southernmost point is enriched by the alluvium.
Afternoon:
The express takes us back to Nam Can, you can visit Phan Ngoc Hien’s statue. Reaching Ca Mau, we check in.
Evening:
You can take a stroll in the centre of Ca Mau city, then stay the night in Ca Mau.

The third day: Ca Mau – Can Tho (200km)

Morning:
We depart for U Minh Ha, admire the great scenery of the famous mangrove forest with many kinds of wild birds and animals. You will also hear the stories about U Minh Ha’s honey hunters. Back to Ca Mau, we check out, then return to Can Tho.
Afternoon:
Arriving at Can Tho, we check in to take a rest.
Evening:
You can visit the city block in the centre of Can Tho city by car, take a stroll at Ninh Kieu port, or cruise on a yacht on Hau river, listen to “đờn ca tài tử”. We stay the night in Can Tho.

The fourth day: Can Tho – Vinh Long – Tien Giang – Saigon (170km)
                      
Morning:
We go to the Cai Rang floating market, on of the biggest floating markets in the Mekong Delta. Here you will learn more about some special features of this kind of trading on the river of the South Vietnamese people. You will find a lot of merchandise hung on sparrow trees in the bows and rade with the Western river traders. Catching the ferry to Con Au (Au islet) you will delight in the beautiful scenery along the bank of Hau river. At Phu Sa Tourist, you can enjoy some fun activities on the river such as: cross the bamboo bridge to cork forest, go swimming, row the boats, …
Afternoon:
We check out, return to Ho Chi Minh city. On the way home, we stop in at some garden with a wide range of tropical fruits such as: pomelo, longan, durian, mango, jackfruit, …in Vinh Long, Tien Giang. Here you can buy some fresh fruits as gifts for your family..
Arriving at Saigon, we say goodbye and see you again.
